| November 03, 2011 | | Remove NVIC's anti-vaccine ad from Delta Airlines flights. | | I just sent this letter to Delta’s investor relations (InvestorRelations@Delta.com): Delta: I just signed this petition asking you to remove NVIC's anti-vaccine ad from Delta Airlines flights, and I am encouraging others to sign as well. I am a regular Delta flyer, but I am very disappointed by Delta’s decision to run an ad based on pseudoscientific claims by an anti-vax propaganda organization. Delta’s action is irresponsible and causes actual harm to real people. My assumption is that Delta does not actually take an anti-science position with regard to vaccines, but rather it unthinkingly accepted the ad simply to profit from selling ads. But running such ads could also cost Delta by eroding the allegiance of concerned people like me. Please let me know that Delta is not, in fact, anti-science and that it has discontinued these harmful ads. I will then share that positive information through my social media networks with the same vigor I am now applying to this petition drive. Sincerely, F. Andy Seidl Ann Arbor, Michigan http://twitter.com/faseidl http://facebook.com/faseidl http://gplus.to/faseidl http://www.linkedin.com/in/faseidl http://faseidl.com I encourage you to also sign this petition, it will take 30 seconds. It would also be great if you also e-mailed Delta’s investor relations – feel free to use this my message as a template, if you wish. | | |
