Q: What is FAS Talk?

A: An experiment in diverting engergy from blogging inward to blogging outward

Lets face it, I'm not a great blogger.  I just haven't devoted the time needed to be a great blogger.  Instead, I spend my time developing a great Web 2.0 platform.

But as I was giving this faseidl.com blogsite a long-overdue upgrade (it was originally implemented on the Public MySmartChannels Service using the earliest prototypes of what has evolved into MyST Blogsite®), I got to thinking...  I actually do blog quite often, but it is blogging inward.

Internally at MyST, we use a number of secure blogsites for project management, team collaboration, knowledge continuity, business intelligence, and so on.  I realized that I actually do lots of blogging (inward) but that some of those items would actually be of greater value if they were publicly available.

FAS Talk is my latest blogging experiment.  I want to see if I can divert some of the energy I devote to blogging inward to blogging outward.

The kinds of things I plan to write about here are things that I might previously have posted to a secure, internal blogsite but that could be of general interest and are not MyST proprietary in nature.  These postings are also likely to be "rougher" in nature that what I might post in an official company site such as blogsite.com or myst-technology.com, and so should be considered my own, personal views an opinions and not necessarily those of MyST Technology Partners, Inc., or any other person or organization.
